Ayurveda is an ancient system of medicine originating in India about 5000 years ago. In Sanskrit, the primary language of ancient India, Ayur-Veda means “Science of Life.” Though ancient, the wisdom and success of this healing system proves to be ever-new, as its principles are simple, intuitive, and founded on the rhythms of nature. The primary goals of Ayurveda are to maintain and enhance health and longevity by emphasizing correct diet and lifestyle habits according to one’s individual constitution and environment. In Ayurveda, it is believed that each individual is unique and requires customized consideration when it comes to health and well-being, so no two treatment regimens are ever the same. As such, at Veda Vita, our clinicians are eager to meet you exactly where you are, taking the time and attention to consider your personal history, condition, and preferences as they create your treatment plan.

In Ayurveda, there is the concept that the universe is made up of five elements - space/ether, air, fire, water, and earth. These elements combine in varying proportions to comprise the three doshas - Vata (ether and air), Pitta (fire and water), and Kapha (water and earth). The doshas are the three governing energies that make up the physical body, and are present in varying proportions in each individual at birth. One’s doshic constitution will inform one’s physical and mental make-up, including build, physical features, personality type, preferences, emotional experience, and tendencies towards imbalance – this is known as one’s Prakriti. Over the lifespan, one may develop imbalances in the doshas through incorrect diet and lifestyle habits – this imbalance doshic profile is known as one’s Vikriti. Depending on one’s Prakruti and Vikruti, certain dietary and lifestyle habits are recommended or contraindicated. At Veda Vita, our clinicians are trained to assess your Prakriti and Vikriti and create a treatment plan through detailed observation and history taking. Your customized treatment plan will include explicit instructions regarding dietary and lifestyle recommendations and contraindications, and will always take seasonal considerations into account. Your progress will be closely monitored and alterations to your initial treatment plan will be made whenever necessary.

A discovery call is a free 15-minute phone or video appointment with a member of the care team. To schedule this initial call, you will first meet with the Discovery Coordinator so that they may gather more information about how we can help and will then set up the discovery call with the professional best-suited for your needs. During the call, the Ayurvedic professional will strive to learn more about your interest in our services, health status and history, and desires for change. This time will also be used to communicate our methods, timeline, and client expectations, and at the end you will have the opportunity to be scheduled for services.

The WiseLife Journey is an educational immersion program designed to give you lasting results. Because true healing takes transformation, not quick fixes, understanding why your body and mind are out of balance is just as important as knowing how to restore them. That’s why this program begins with a MAP (Medical Ayurvedic Perspective) Report, a comprehensive health assessment that explains the full picture of your unique constitution, imbalances, and the logic behind them.
While the MAP gives you powerful insights, continued transformation takes a little time and expert guidance. This is where you’ll discover your PATH (Personalized Ayurvedic Transformation & Healing) and receive step-by-step support as you integrate changes into your daily life. Instead of working in isolated single sessions, our team walks with you through the process teaching, guiding, and holding space for your healing and growth.
Many of our clients ask where they can go to learn more after their initial assessment. The WiseLife Journey was created as the answer: an immersive course that blends education, personalized care, and community support, so you don’t just learn Ayurveda; you live it.
