Hi! I’m Kim Valeri Povey

Helping individuals and families find natural solutions for vital health and longevity.

Over 40 years ago, I met an osteopathic doctor who introduced me to yoga, and that moment changed the trajectory of my life. After surviving multiple debilitating auto accidents, I spent nine years on a profound healing journey that led me to Ayurveda, yoga therapy, and meditation at a time when these practices were far from mainstream.

Through this process, I uncovered the root causes of my imbalances, learned how to liberate my life force, and discovered how the mind can profoundly influence healing. Meditation became a gateway to reducing pain, restoring vitality, and reclaiming a sense of wholeness. These practices not only healed my body, but awakened a lifelong calling to help others do the same.

Since 1990, I have been supporting individuals and families in cultivating health, resilience, and longevity through Ayurveda, yoga therapy, and lifestyle medicine. Today, as an Ayurvedic Doctor-Level trained Advanced Practitioner, I offer traditional herbal preparations, personalized protocols, and integrative care that address physical, emotional, and social dimensions of healing, especially vital in our modern, high-stress world.

WORK WITH ME

True healing happens when we address the whole person in body — mind, spirit, and life itself

Family life is central to my work and perspective. My children are grown, and I bring deep experience guiding parents and families through evolving life stages and relationships. My own family spans six generations, offering daily insight into communication across diverse perspectives. I am a Baby Boomer, my husband Jim is Gen X, and together we have five children ranging from Millennials to Gen Z.

Our home is a living laboratory of Ayurveda. Meals are thoughtfully prepared to meet a wide range of needs including vegetarian, vegan, celiac, omnivorous, spice-loving, and spice-sensitive alike. Much credit goes to my husband Jim, whose love of cooking and devotion to Ayurvedic principles has been a tremendous gift to our family.

I founded Veda Vita Family Health and Wellness to bring the depth of Ayurvedic wisdom and yoga therapy into practical, compassionate, and accessible care to support people not just to heal, but to thrive across the lifespan.
