Yoga Therapist, Natural Health Activist, Healer, 2024 candidate for Certified Doctor of Ayurveda Medicine, Archer, Musician, and Mom.

Hi! I’m Kim Valeri

and helping families is my mission!

I Founded Veda Vita Family Health and Wellness to use the timeless teachings of yoga therapy and Ayurveda to deliver client-centered care. I provide Ayurvedic traditional herbal preparations, lifestyle medicine, and yoga therapy protocols to support the physical, emotional, and social holistic healing that the modern world needs.

40 years ago I met an Osteopathic Doctor who introduced me to yoga and the rest is history.

After a nine-year healing journey surviving debilitating auto accidents, I discovered how to heal my life: body, mind, and spirit through the yoga introduced to me by my osteopathic doctor during the 1980s.  It was quite a journey, especially when yoga was less common than it is today. I discovered the root causes of my imbalances, liberated my life force, and learned to meditate away pain. I felt my body become alive; these practices have helped me stay young and vibrant over the years and I’ve been helping individuals and families since 1990 find the same vitality.

My children are grown and I have expertise guiding younger parents through phases of family development and personal relationships. My family spans six generations. There is much to understand when it comes to valuable communication with diverse perspectives. In my family, I am a baby boomer, and my husband Jim is a Gen X’er. Together we have 5 children ranging from Millennials to Gen Z.  Our meals are ayurvedically prepared at home, meeting the unique needs of all our family, including vegetarians, celiacs, vegans, those who eat meat and love hot spice, and those who don’t. I have to give much credit to my husband, Jim, who loves to nourish our family and whose culinary skills and interest in Ayurvedic cooking have been a great blessing.

I am Board Certified through the National Ayurveda Medical Association (NAMA) as an Ayurvedic Practitioner (C.A.P). MA Registered Community Health Worker (C.W.H.), a certified Yoga Therapist (A.Y.T., C-IAYT), and a 2024 candidate for Certified Doctor of Ayurveda Medicine (A.D.) with a specialty in Ayurvedic Psychology (Satvavajaya Chikitsa), Ayurveda Yoga Therapy for Individuals and families.

Things I am passionate about

A behind the scenes look

01

In addition to yoga and meditation, I love archery (I’m a bare-bow Olympic Recurve Archer).

02

I was instrumental in forming and lobbying a bill in the Massachusetts legislature to support the protection and access to complementary and alternative healthcare.

03

In my private time, when I am not tending to the needs of my family, you’ll find me at the ocean, singing, and making music.
